Blue skies

A progressive advice column must deal with at least two areas of life. One is the interaction of relationships, the every day moving about of families and couples, individual growth and the struggles we all go through as we pass through time. The second area is how culture, laws, religion, and social constructs affect our daily living. For example, “How do I deal with my Christian fundamentalist brother?” or “How do I introduce my family to my partner of four years knowing they supported Amendment Two?” Some of the issues we deal with are unique and I hope in this column our community finds a place to deal with that uniqueness. There have been moments in my life where a word, a comment from some one at the right time made a difference in how I saw a situation and the decisions I made. The older I become the more I realize the wisdom in listening. Decisions that seem important, or seem unimportant, can influence years of a persons life.

Kindness is the way. Love all, serve all. Blue skies, and white clouds? Man you libs really did do to many drugs in the sixties. You thought you were enlightened, you were just merely stoned. Was the Obama campaign that used hateful, and divisive rhetoric an act of kindness? That used race, sexism, and character assasination an act of enlightenment? So Romney was worth $260 million he made on his own, and gave 30% to charity wrong? What about John Kerry who is worth $600 million better? Oh' he got it through more noble means by marrying it. Nine of the top ten richest Congressmen are Democrats. Rhetoric is B.S.! Mathematical equations are fact.

just feel the blue skies, and notice the white clouds it will okay for today. Clear your mind and you will see kindness is the way. The public option, less corporate rule are acts of kindness.

Blue Skies? Not for our children, and grandchildren. With another 5 and a half trillion in debt in 4 more years. Did libs not whine that would be the case with Bush's deficit spending? Bipartisanship? With a president that says Republicans should just sit in the back of the bus. With him saying that some Americans cling to their Guns, and religion, and do not like those who are not like them? He who ran the dirtiest campaign in history?
