Candlelight vigil starts 7pm Friday, June 17 at Eau Gallie Square in Melbourne

Hosted by Space Coast Pride

Space Coast Pride will host a community candlelight vigil on Friday, June 17, at 7 p.m. in memory of the victims killed in Orlando on June 12. The vigil will be held at Eau Gallie Square in the Eau Gallie Arts District in Melbourne. Everyone in the community who seeks peace and tolerance is invited to attend. The candlelight vigil will run from 7-10 p.m.

We will meet at 7pm at the park and bandshell to remember those who have been lost. To join together in peace and healing and hope. To show our family in Orlando that we are a unified community. And to tell the world that we are strong, loving, and positive in the face of so much hate.

This attack is the worst mass shooting in American history.

While his motivation is unknown, this killer's actions have affected the gay community, the Latino community, and all of Central Florida.

Space Coast Pride is Brevard County’s LGBT community organization which facilitates greater understanding and tolerance and equal rights for all.
