Keep Laws Fair: Panel Presentation

SCPA 1st Thursday Program: April 5 at 6:30 pm in the Henegar Center, Downtown Melbourne.
Four of Florida's most distinguished attorneys will give a panel discussion: Keep Laws Fair. True justice requires fair laws.

This post is a review of The New Jim Crow, by Michelle Alexander. It is related peripherally to campaign financing because there are powerful economic forces who thrive on the nightmare presented in her book, and which will spend mightily in political contributions and lobbying to prevent any change. The book is a powerful one, and I recommend it for all SCPA members.

Our own American police bombed the first responders to a wounded man.
When Iraqi and Afghan terrorists have done this to American soldiers, the world's reaction was condemnatory and just. With today's Americans against Americans street warfare, headlines scream that "at least he isn't dead" along with other trivializing spin and excuse making.
The purpose of "flash" bombs is to create fear and panic (shock and awe) in the "enemy."
