OWL PROWL AT TURKEY CREEK SANCTUARY

Join us at the Turkey Creek Sanctuary on Saturday, November 20 from 6 to 8 PM for our Fall Owl Prowl. We’re talon you, it’ll be a hoot! The cost is $7 per person, ages 12 and up. Call the Nature Center at (321) 676-6690 to sign up in advance
The class will consist of 45 minutes of classroom discussion on the biology and identification of owl species in Florida. The remainder of class time will be spent in the Sanctuary, calling for owls at various locations on the boardwalk and primitive trails. During the field portion of the class, students and instructors will be traveling to different habitats within the Sanctuary. The terrain is mostly sandy on primitive trails with a few wet spots, so please dress accordingly and be prepared for a hike of light to moderate intensity.
Items to bring: tennis shoes or boots, insect repellent, drinking water, snacks, small notebook and pencil, and binoculars. A limited number of loaner binoculars will be available. Field guides of Florida birds are also encouraged.
