RALLY TO STOP BOOK BANS
AWAKE BREVARD ACTION ALLIANCE
Since early 2021, there has been a concerted effort by groups like Mom’s for Liberty, some politicians and school board members to ban books in our public schools. As of right now, any challenged book is immediately pulled without even a review. We believe this is unacceptable!
If you do too, Please join us on Saturday January 28th from 11am-2pm in front of Melbourne High School (4 corners of Babcock and Bulldog) to display loud and clear our disapproval of this dangerous practice.
-There will be some street theater you’re not going to want to miss!
-We will be giving out free copies of Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut!

“First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.”-Martin Niemöllerrally
